Motion Picture Pension Plan

Participants enjoy the benefits of two plans: the Motion Picture Industry Pension Plan
(Pension Plan), which is a defined benefit pension plan, and the Motion Picture Industry Individual Account
Plan (IAP), which is a defined contribution plan. Both are funded 100% through employer contributions. The Pension Plan provides a fixed monthly benefit payable for the Participant’s lifetime after
retirement. It may also be payable to a Beneficiary following the Participant’s death. The IAP provides a lump sum or annuity benefit payable to the Participant at retirement or to the
beneficiaries as a death benefit.
IATSE National Benefit Funds (https://www.iatsenbf.org)
The IATSE National Benefit Funds include the Pension, Annuity, Health & Welfare, Vacation and
401(k) Funds. You are eligible to participate in the Funds as an employee only if you are covered by
a collective bargaining agreement providing contributions to one or more of these Funds.
Set Wages and Working Standards

guarantees set wages and work conditions. Field representatives are available to answer all
your questions regarding rules pertaining to our contract and will ensure that all contractual
provisions are adhered to on your behalf.
Post-Production Practice Facilities
Keep your skills up-to-date in our practice rooms. The facilities feature the
most modern equipment, popular software, a comprehensive library and access to online training
programs. A technical representative is available throughout your stay to answer questions and
offer assistance. Reservations are required. Appointments can be made Monday –
Friday and two weekends per month.
Training Courses
Training courses at participating
facilities are also available to members in good standing (roster requirement may be
applicable). The cost for these training courses is subsidized, but many of the facilities
waive the cost entirely.
Available for Work List
We offer all
prospective union employers 24/7 access to the Guild’s database of members’
resumes. Resumes are created and maintained online by the members themselves. The
database search results include the member’s name, contact information, resume, skills, and
references. Search functionality includes the ability to find members by classification,
skills, region, language, and keyword.

The Guild publishes
CineMontage, an award winning, 4-color magazine, four times a year. CineMontage covers all
aspects of post-production, including technical tips, new technology, industry and labor news, interviews,
and updates on Guild business.
Screenings
Each month we have private screenings of current movies in state-of-the-art theaters.
Active and retired members, plus a guest, are invited. In addition, many industry
invitations are extended to the members of Local 700.
